Carmelina Read, Chair of EQUIP ministry women.

Carmelina is the Dean of Women at the Presbyterian Theological Centre, Sydney

This year, our Vice Chair, Dani Treweek will be chairing the conference. Dani works as the Women’s Ministry Trainer at St Matthias, Paddington.

Ministry is a joy and a privilege. It’s amazing that God has invited us to partner with Him in preaching the message that is able to save all people (Romans 1:16-17). But there are so many pressures that can make us lose our focus: endless admin, ill health, pressure from both Christians and non-Christians to stop and then there’s our own sin. Paul encourages us to “Preach the word; in season and out of season.” (2 Timothy 4:2). How do we do this in light of the pressures? This year's EQUIP ministry women conference will help women in ministry think through how they can keep their focus on proclaiming the gospel.

Why this conference when there are so many to choose from? EQUIPmin is a unique, 3 day residential conference especially designed to support and encourage women in vocational ministry. Each year we have women from around Australia and New Zealand come to EQUIPmin in order to build up one another up as they labour alongside one another as fellow-workers in the Kingdom. Check out the video below to see why some of least year’s delegates were so glad they attended.
We hope to see you at EQUIPmin 2012!

EQUIP ministry women is for women who are in vocational ministry.

If you are employed in a particular, Word based (ie. Bible teaching/pastoring) ministry in either a full-time or part-time capacity, whether paid or not, then EQUIPmin is for you!

Whatever Christian denomination or organisation you belong to, if you have a teaching or pastoral role then we would love you to come along and invite your female colleagues to join you.

EQUIP ministry women is a ministry of EQUIP Inc. It's goals are to equip and support women who are in vocational ministry to continue growing:

  • In Christ
  • Others in Christ
  • In their practice and understanding of Biblical womanhood and complementarian ministry*
  • The recruitment of women to vocational ministry
