BibleTalks on Esther - The Queen and I
A royal wedding…
A hangman’s noose…
An evil plan…
A nation at risk…
One chance in a lifetime…
Di Warren has a gift of making hard things seem simple. Whether lecturing in Maths at Sydney University or explaining how the Bible relates to daily life, she always speaks with great clarity and insight. Di spoke on ‘The Fairytale Life’ at EQUIP08.
Carmelina Read grew up in Leichardt where she came to know Christ through a highschool friend. She loves encouraging women in her local church and as Dean of Women at Sydney’s Presbyterian Theological College.
Electives
A. God’s princesses
God is our Father, and God is a King, so we are all princesses. It’s often said, but is it actually true? How are we to think about ourselves, from the Bible’s perspective.
Alli Street ministers at St Albans Multicultural Bible Ministry, Rooty Hill.
B. Hospitality for everyone
From Naked chefs to Donna Hay, we get plenty of good advice on entertaining. But what is Christian hospitality? How can we make our homes and lives more welcoming?
Ainsley Poulos is back to speak on hospitality, by popular demand.
C. The lost art of submission (1 Peter)
In popular culture, it’s the ‘S’ word, a relic of abusive societies. But 1 Peter has a very different view on submission, whether in marriage or work or society.
This is the 8th talk in the ‘Different by Design’ series, available from EQUIP shop.
Louisa Pftzner is a Visting Chaplain at Moore Theological College.
D. Black dogs, blue skies
Depression is such a part of our lives, whether our own experience, or those we love. What wisdom does the Bible give us?
Claire Smith lives in Sydney with 2 avid musicians (her husband Rob and adult son Nathanael). She is completing postgraduate studies in the New Testament and has a keen interest in current affairs and Christian ethics.

Esther Party
Why not have an Esther party? It’s easy. Just buy some dried fruit and pastries, invite around the girls, and read the book of Esther. It’s great fun. Check out our 1st Esther party, and send us a photo of your party.
