EQUIP nights aim to encourage women currently leading (or preparing to lead) Bible study groups in their church, workplace, campus or home. This is a vital weekly ministry that influences so many women.
Moore College is on the corner of King Street in Newtown. Transport is available by a bus up King Street bus from the City. Or you can get a train to Redfern or Newtown Stations, with a short walk to the college. Parking can be found in the surrounding residential streets, towards Redfern Station.
6:00pm BYO Dinner (Optional) : We’ll have tables set up in the common room.
7:00pm Women’s ministry: what and why (Di Warren)
“Women’s ministry” is often a mystery. Some women love it, others avoid it! Although it’s commonly talked about, no-one seems to have a common definition. So what exactly is it, and why it is important? A packed seminar that will stretch your thinking, as well as give you plenty of ministry ideas, especially in terms of bible study leading. Suitable for women leading any age women, whether adult growth groups, kids or youth. You’ll also get a discussion paper for continuing the conversation with your sisters back at church.
8:00pm Deep dive into 1 Corinthians 12
1 Cor 12 casts a wonderful vision of church, as a place where every person is gifted by God and every part does its work. How can we encourage this sort of environment in our bible study groups?
9:00pm Finish (sharp)
We will be videoing the event for our new EQUIP library which will be launched later in 2019. If you’d like to contribute to the cost of providing this resource, especially for women who don’t live in Sydney, they’ll be a donation box on the night.
There are no refunds for tickets. But feel free your ticket to give to a friend, if you are unable to come on the night.
