Why Does God Let Bad Things Happen? | Chris Morphew

If you’ve seen or experienced bad things in the world and you find yourself asking, “Why is the world like this?”, “Does God actually care about my suffering?” or “Will the world be this way forever?”, then you’re not alone in your doubts.

If you’re a teenager facing life and all its big questions. Or if you’ve seen or experienced bad things in the world and you find yourself asking, “Why is the world like this?”, “Does God actually care about my suffering?” or “Will the world be this way forever?”, then you’re not alone in your doubts. And you needn’t look far for answers!

Our teen pick for 2022 addresses the big question; “Why does God let bad things happen?”.

Rather than trying to avoid the question or give you flimsy answers that you’ve heard but don’t believe, this book asks you questions, digs deep into the root issues and answers them from the Bible.

Sometimes wordy answers with theoretical concepts can be hard to accept in our hearts. This book helps to find a balance by showing us how we can find comfort and assurance in the recounts of Jesus’ life. Morphew walks us through Bible stories and personal experiences so that we can see, and not just hear, that God is there. God does know our suffering personally and he’s given us hope in something so much greater than we could possibly have imagined on our own! This book would suit ages from preteen and up.

To coincide with our annual conference, EQUIP Picks are 10 great reads, chosen and reviewed by the EQUIP Women Team for women.

EQUIP22 Picks will be available for a limited time online via our ministry partner, Reformers Bookshop.

A percentage of the sales from books bought via the above link will support our CMS missionary, M.
